What is PDW?
CAPSI's Professional Development Week (PDW) is a four day conference, hosted annually at a different pharmacy school in Canada. Welcoming students from all 11 pharmacy schools across the country, PDW 2025 will be hosted in Halifax, Nova Scotia, January 8th-12th, 2025.

PDW 2025: "Waves of Change" reflects the rapidly evolving profession of pharmacy, and invites the next generation of pharmacy leaders to come together, network, and expand their knowledge, with a focus on embracing, navigating, and creating change in their up-and-coming professional careers.
Events & Opportunities
Speakers
PDW 2025 will include an array of speakers, discussing a variety of topics, including a keynote
speaker, a motivational keynote speaker, guest speaker and breakout session speakers. Students will have the opportunity to gain insights from current professionals, be inspired, and explore their future plans as successful pharmacy leaders.
Networking
Delegates will have the opportunity to establish lasting connections and relationships with fellow pharmacy students across Canada during PDW 2025! We offer diverse networking opportunities including our annual Health-Fair, where students can learn about opportunities from industry
professionals.
CAPSI
Competition
Delegates competing at their local school competitions will have the
chance to apply their knowledge and compete nationally at PDW 2025!
Social Events
PDW 2025 offers an array of social events including our “Making Waves” Opening Gala, and
“Casino Royale” Closing Gala where students, sponsors and guests can come together to
celebrate each other's successes during awards and presentations. We also offer a social night,
where delegates can explore our city, and Canada’s Next Top Pharmacist, where local winners
from each school can compete for the national title.
